Why does the air compressor consume serious energy?
Generally speaking, the cost of purchasing an air compressor for use includes two parts, one is the purchase cost and maintenance cost, which accounts for 20% of the total cost; The other part is the energy consumption during the operation of the air compressor, which accounts for 80% of the use cost of the air compressor. It can be seen that the energy consumption of the air compressor is very serious. But why does the air compressor consume so much energy? There are mainly the following reasons.

1. When the air compressor is running, it works with the most appropriate voltage. Asymmetric power supply voltage or too high or too low voltage will lead to a large waste of air compressor energy. Due to the unbalanced single-phase load of the three-phase four wire low-voltage power supply system, the three-phase voltage of the motor is asymmetric, the motor produces negative sequence torque, increases the three-phase voltage asymmetry of the motor, the motor produces negative sequence torque, and increases the loss in the operation of the motor. In addition, the power grid voltage is low for a long time, which makes the normal motor current too large, so the loss increases. The greater the three-phase voltage asymmetry and the lower the voltage, the greater the loss.
2. Due to poor maintenance and management of the air compressor, the air compressor needs regular maintenance after a certain period of operation. In case of deviation of accessories, it needs to be repaired or replaced in time. If the motor and equipment are not maintained according to the requirements and allowed to operate for a long time, it will not only be inefficient, but also increase the loss.
3. The motor load rate of the air compressor is low. The actual working load of the motor may be far less than the rated load due to improper motor selection, excessive margin or changes in production process. The motor accounting for about 30% ~ 40% of the installed capacity operates at 30% ~ 50% of the rated load, and the operation efficiency is too low, but the energy consumption is not reduced, resulting in a lot of energy waste.
